A masters degree (MBA or MSc) with at least an average of 'B' grade i.e. 60%
A good pre-admission research proposal.
Satisfactory evaluation of the candidate's intellectual capacity, professionalism, maturity, and motivation for work through an interview.
Eight years of professional experience (six of which must be at managerial or supervisory role).
Both degrees are terminal degrees. None is inferior to the other. What differentiates the DBA from the PhD degree is the nature of the output. PhD is more theoretical while the DBA is more applied (output). The DBA solves a real-world practical business problem.
We are not new to running doctoral programmes at LBS. We have had the PhD for over 10 years. For the DBA programme, this is our first cohort.
